Art, Song and Present

I quite had a great day which I will tell you exactly..

The story began,

I woke up at 3am this morning because I wanted to give a birthday surprise for my mother in Indonesia. I just looked my oldest brother there was giving her surprise by giving her 5 cupcakes. me, my 2nd brother, and the rest of them who in Indonesia were video calling through SKYPE for an hour. I slept again after that.

I woke up very late this morning. AGAIN!! maybe I should set many alarms so I would wake up. Then, I cooked a fried egg like my friend's sister did. The taste was quite same, but the different was in the shape. It's not round like an usually egg and also it scorched. haha :)

My first class in the afternoon is Graphic Design which is taught by Holly-Anne. She is very kind, nice, and also she like to help us with any problem with photoshop and illustrator. I watched many music video in her class, but I had already done with her task before, so I could watch to kill the time. I watched korean singer's MV, such as Super Junior, Girl's Generation and FT Island. I started to like them all today, even though I don't remember all of the members. I just remember LEE HONG KI from FT Island which also an actor in korean drama titled You're Beautiful. 

I watched Super Junior new MV titled BONAMANA. It's very cool. The effect and the dance is so awesome, although I thought that the dance like an aerobic first, but in  the end, they danced energetically and compact to each other. And also, I watched Girl's Generation MV titled Genie. I like their costumes in this MV. I sang their song all the time today and my friends told me to stop. But, I can't because my brain just remember that song, nothing else. haha.. sorry, mates X(

I had GARETH's class this evening. Remember Gareth? My favourite teacher in this semester. His drawing is great and awesome. see below?

What an awesome artwork, right? I am nothing compare to him. Here are my drawings today. Today's topic is MICROSCOPIC ILLUSTRATION :)

Behind the story of this drawing,
Firstly, I was so desperate to draw this small branch into large scale because we have to drew the detail as well. The detail was very small which my eyes are not able to see it unless I can zoom in in computer.  Then, I drew many lines as I can. I draw the lines messily because it was so cold in the class so I couldn't control my hand. I thought I'll ruined my drawings again. Gareth told me to do cross-hatching in the back so it could be looked darker. I did what he said and TARA!! the result is what you can see above.
I was so happy with this drawings.

And also, I drew a small tree there because I had to much free time in the class, haha

I got a present today. It's not a present actually. Let me tell you,
When I opened Gareth's cupboard where the students usually put their artwork in, I saw a bag that design students in my campus usually bring.  They usually put their artworks in. It sold in bookshop, but I prefer to buy in Indonesia because it's cheaper.
I asked him "Nobody owned this?". Then, he looked the bag and said that the owner were not here anymore, then he gave me the bag. YEY!!! I was so happy and tell him that he was the best. And you know what was his answer? He said "I know"

I was so ashamed

Today,

I woke up very late this morning, although I've set alarm in my iPhone. Besides that, I also got surprised that 6.30am was very dark and that made me want to sleep more. I thought I just slept for 15 minutes, but when I woke up, it's already 7.43am. GOSH! I was so late today. but it didn't bother me. I guessed I would just late for 30 minutes. It's just not a big deal (well...30 minutes will be very worthy for me in the future carrier) I've done my English report, so I didn't have to worry so much.

Then, I walked to stop 49 where it is near to my place. I just realised I didn't bring my iPhone when I wanted to take it from my bag. So, I return to my unit and searched it and I didn't find it on my table. I just removed all of my stuffs from my bag and I still didn't find it. Then, I just realise that the iPhone was in my pocket (in the back of my jeans). GRR!!!!! Why I am so forgetful girl. I'm not old enough too forget something easily.

I took tram 16 from my house to High Street. Unfortunately, I get off at the wrong stop. It was 1 stop behind. I was forgot. so I didn't want to talk to the driver that I stopped at the wrong place because I felt like a little bit shy to open my mouth and said "Sorry, Sir. I get off at the wrong stop. I should get off at 1 more stop." (I don't know if I said it in right grammar). So, I guessed that's okay and walked because it had a little bit traffic jam on Glenferie rd and I thought I would be faster than tram, however I was wrong. God!

After that, I waited for tram 6 which could take me to the campus. First, I looked my TramTracker that the tram would be there in 7 minutes. I waited for a long time and I felt that it was more than 7 minutes, then I looked again to my TramTracker, it was 15 mins. As a result, I was late for an hour. I shouldn't take tram 16 and tram 6 anymore. I will take tram 64 start now.

After finish the English class, I went to Menya in Elizabeth st with my girldfriends. I ate ramen. It was very delicious. I chose the one with prawns because it is very expensive if I bought a kg of prawns in SAFEWAY. That's my way to eat seafood and save my money, haha^^

Then we went to Dinkum where located near to RMIT university. RMIT buildings are everywhere in Melbourne City. It seems like it is a famous uni. I won't take my parents to the city. They probably will force me to move to RMIT because it looked good. Well...Swinburne is different. It is not located in city, but in suburb. I really like that. I felt like I really study in overseas. Yeah..back to Dinkum. Me and my girls went to Dinkum to print our packaging project. They were really want to get a good marks (me too!) They print more than mine. I just printed 3 pgs, but they printed almost more than 10 pgs. I didn't do like they did because firstly, I really want to safe my money and I didn't want to spent many papers (How GREEN I am, haha^^ *No Offense, but I really do care our environments now)

I felt that I've done my tasks and want to go home by train. luckily, I just waited for 2 minutes. Suddenly, when I wanted to hear my musics, I didn't find my headset and that made me back to my campuses AGAIN! AGAIN I was so forgetful. My memory was not good enough to memorise something. GRR!!!

The funny thing today was...

So, yesterday, when I wanted to had my dinner with my soup which had already served as well. My brother's housemate (male) also wanted to had dinner with his RAWON (Indonesian food). He offer me his rawon to try the taste. Then, I also offer my soup straightforward to him. you know, the soup which I offered to him was not the new one which still in the pot, but the one that I had already served with my rice. That's why he wouldn't try it because it was in the same bowl and I'd already eat it some. And the bad thing was I just realise it today. OMG!! I didn't look like almost 20 year girl. I was so ashamed =.=

That's why my classmates told me to more GROW UP!! I'll try my best, pals.

Love My Assignments

Well....this week is my 11th week for 2nd semester in Foundation Design. I just didn't realise that it has been eleven weeks since I began my 2nd semester. This semester ran faster than I imagined. My foundation will finish in 14th week. It still has 3 weeks. I just can't imagine I'll go to higherEd after that. That will be more challenges there. sometimes I feel kinda afraid to join with the locals because of my English which is not very well until now. And also, the lecturer who I heard from many sources said that they spoke fast.

hmm.....maybe don't talk about HigherEd right now, hehe :) let's talk about foundation.

Since I started my 2nd semester, I found that my assignments were really fun and fantastic. firstly, I had to do perspectives thing for design studies and the student were not allowed to use RULER. OMG! I found it was very difficult for the first time. but, practice makes perfect. I do believe that. well....maybe not as perfect as my teacher did. I thought it was good enough for beginners. Now, I am doing PACKAGING design. I also thought that this task were really hard, however it went really well since I got the idea. BRAINSTORMING was a good start. believe me.

Secondly, I did visual identity for graphic design. So, we were told to make business card, logo and digital image. It was really fun^^ I love it. I chose a Photography company. I built like a photo studio. I made the logo and the business card. And the 2nd task for this subject is poster design. I haven't done this one. It's still in a process.

Thirdly, I do really love drawing and illustration's class, even though it is really hard to get a high marks. I have submitted 2 assessments and still did not get a satisfied mark. I have to try harder for this one. The teacher, Gareth Basset is my favourite one. His drawings are fantastic. I wish I could draw like he did. He has loved ART since he was in junior-high school until now (he is around 50 now). wew!

another homesick

Well....I've never write any post since last year. so sorry =.=

I thought I had a homesick today. I want to fast forward the time like DVD to June when my foundation finished, then I want to have a vacation in my hometown. I want to meet my family and friends. I kinda miss them so much. I want to meet them.

Sometimes, when I saw piano in music store, I felt I miss my piano at home. unluckily i couldn't buy piano in Melbourne. There is not space enough for it in my place. I wish I could play violin because it is easy to carry violin.

and also, I miss indonesian food. It's hard to find a delicious Indonesian food in Melbourne. The menu is same but not the taste. I miss sate kambing (Indonesian BBQ), steak, etc.

On the other hand, I want to get a job to earn extra money. I want to but SLR camera by my own money so I will feel satisfied rather than my family buy it for me. It sounds like I'm not doing nothing and get what i want. I want to buy something from my own money. The feeling will be different then.

It is like a dilemma for me. I really want to meet my friends, but I want to earn money, so my plan is I will back to Indonesia if I don't get a job.

My breaktime

I thought that today was a very long day... =.=

After I had 2 hours for tutorial, I also had a break for 2 hours. I ate my lunch and then, checked out my facebook in the library.

What I've got in the library? YUP! it's a comic. My favourite books ever because it is not only contains of words. It also contains picture. that's why, I was so interested when I was reading a comic. And, I haven't read any comic since I came here. So I think those comics (I borrowed 2 comics) could entertain me while I was at home.

And when I was in Indonesia, I have to read "CRAYON SHINCHAN" first before I went to sleep.

Then, I came to the class at 13.30 and did some exercises. The questions confused me. I did not understand what the question asked me what to do >,<>

After that, the teacher gave us a break time again. YIPPPEE!!!! I loved break time (who doesn't?) I went to the cafeteria with some friends. They are Jess, Ine, Vanessa alias Icha, Huan and Nui.

My friends were so nice. especially JESS. She was the one who was very attractive. She always said that I was the one who talkative. But, today was different. I thought I didn't talk a lot today. She did! well.....a short brief about us, I thought that she was older than me when I met her for the first time. I was totally WRONG. She was same age with me and she also younger than me. I was 19 last month and she was 19 last week. haha=] but if u saw me and her, you would think that she was older than me. I'm not lying. It's true. It's because of her style. She was very fashionable. More fashionable than me. One thing that I really like about her was her artwork. she drew Avril Lavigne and it look similar to Avril. I wished Avril could see that. I'll post it once I got Jess's permission. =] She did that because Jess really like her.

Being Nineteen on October Nineteen

After a few days I had a 'holiday' from blogger because I had no idea what I wanted to tell. Then, I found something that I wanted talk about. Actually, today's stories was not happened today on 5th November 2009. It has been quite a long time ago. but I really want to post it.

It's about my birthday on October 19th, 2009. This was my first birthday in overseas. No parents, no siblings (except brother iYo ^^) and also there weren't my best friends either. I felt so sad :(

If I flash-backed to year 2008. It also happened that I celebrated my birthday only with my best friends (only Melvina, Shella, and Ignathea. No Risca and Abie because we weren't in good friends at that time) and my siblings (just brother iYo n my sister Mudita). My parents were gone to met their business colleagues. On October 19th 2008, it should be a happy day for me, but unfortunately I had a test for enrolling in Binus University in the morning. I had draw test and.......I forgot what else. There should be 2 tests on that day, but I forgot the other one. After that, I had a dinner (almost dinner) with Shella, Melvina and Ignathea in Pan n Cook. just the 4 of us. Then, I went home. At home, I just have a little birthday party, even tiny. because I just had a small cake that I bought in Holland bakery with 1 candle. I sang "Happy Birthday" with iYo n Mudita only and clapped our hand. It was so quiet TT


I had General Math in the morning. and I just got instinct that I would get a surprise on that day. but I didn't care because it just my instinct. haha=]

on Lunch time, I just realized that there weren't Michelle, Marcell, Oliv. they usually had their lunch in canteen. but I didn't saw them. I didn't care about it because they could have luncy wherever they want to, haha=] I've got Deb's English and Communication's Skills for my second subject. before the class started, I checked my FB again and there were more a lot of greetings. fiuh! and I was happy there were also greetings from Shella, Risca, Melvina and Abie. thanks, guys! realy missed and wanted to see u all. hopefully we could hang out together next June. and my mom's status was changed. She wished me happy birthday on her status. I was really happy. OMG! haha=]

After that I just shocked that Deb came in with a cake on her hands and she shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!". At that time, I just wandered if there somebody else in class who also had birthday on October 19th. however, it was only me^^ I felt so happy that day. my classmates bought me a bigger birthday cake than last year. and there were 3 candles. not only 1. haha XD.

Despite my happiness on my birthday, I made iYo mad at me. because I didn't hang up his phone and just checked my FB. until he commented me in FB to picked up the phone. When I checked my cellphone, there were 12 miscalls from him. OMG ! I really felt sorry at that time. he phoned me if we could have dinner together outside. but I ruined it (TT) sorry, bro.

Jalan2 sebelum Melb CUP

hari ini akhirnya sempetin waktu juga buat nulis blog. kmrn sbnernya udh mau nulis blog thu. udh nulis judul tapi musti slsein assignments dlu. akhirnya liat jem udh mlem bgt and saatnya untuk tidur ^^

Nah...hari ini saya ke National Art Gallery of Victoria karena tuntutan tugas context and culture. sebenernya kemaren pas excursions 3 minggu lalu, gue udh pilih lukisan apa. apesnya, gurunya thu minta source dr buku juga. trs gue cari2 dri buku NGV yg gue temukan di perpus kampus, cuman gak ada lukisan yg gue pilih. akhirnya gue memutuskan untuk memilih lukisan lain. and I was stacked by the short brief of the picture. Jadi, hari ini gue memutuskan untuk ke NGV lagi buat dapetin short brief ttg lukisan yg gue pilih itu. gue ajaklah temen gue yg namanya Huan, she is a Vietnamese and really nice. this is the picture of me and Huan..

di NGV, qta keliling2 lagi. sbenernya udh liat2 pas excursions, cm skrg qta liat bagian photographynya. yg ada gue ga ngerti sama skli maksudnya apa thu foto =.= udh gtu ke bagian Asian collections, gue ngeliat patung dewi seribu tangan. bingung gue gimana caranya bkin thu tangannya. ada 1000. banyak banget >< syang skli gue ga foto T_T.. Abis keliling2 d dlm NGV, gue rncna mau ke Melbourne Central, katanya ada botol minum lagi diskon. trnyta thu gak ada tram yg jln ke city krn ada parade buat Melbourne Cup besok. ini nih fotonya yg gue ambil pas gue jln dari NGV ke Melbourne central.

habis tidak menemukan botol minum, gue ngajakkin Huan untuk makan Vietnamese food. sbnernya qta udh rncnain utk mkan Vietnamese food di Footscray cm gak yakin2 gtu. Dan akhirnya, jadi juga hari ini gue sma dia ke footscray untuk cobain makan mkanan Vietnamese. sorry yah buat Ine and Icha, next time I'll ask both of u to try Vietnamese food in Footscray :)
di Footscray, Huan suggest-in gue untuk coba Bun Ba Hue (kalau gak salah namanya). itu tuh mie and ada daging beefnya. kayak ramen gtulah cm kuahnya thu sdkit pedes cuma enak banget^^ bolehlah..I like it. and it's only cost $8.

trus buat anak2 Indo yg di Melbourne, kalau udh tahu yawda sih gpp, gue cm mau kasih tahu kalau mau beli obat or someone minta nitip obat, mendingan beli di Footscray. murah, dhe : )
contohnya, tadi gue beli Metsal cream yg 125g d Pharmacy yg d footscray itu cuma $8.95. di Flinders street $13-an. lumayan kan kalau mau hemat2? hehe=]
